History - Manara Roberto S.r.l.

Roberto Manara began his career in an important manufacturer of steam generators, dealing with customer assistance, in Italy and abroad, gaining 360° experience in the field.

Thanks to innovative ideas that did not find space in the company, Roberto decided to get involved and, with a van and hand-made business cards, he began the search for customers around Italy for his own company, assisted by his wife Maura.

In the same year, from Roberto’s passion and dedication to running, “Podistica Manara” (“Manara Running Sports Association”) was born. Ten years later, by merging with “Atletica Ducale” it became “Atletica Manara” (“Manara Athletics”).

In June, in San Felice sul Panaro (MO), the opportunity came to sell the first smoke pipes steam generator with double bottom with cavity on the back branded by Manara Roberto s.r.l. At the time, the company did not yet have a production building but, thanks to the help of friends and acquaintances, after six months of work the body of the steam generator was ready. It was in December that the first TFB25 steam generator was assembled and finished in the garage of the house and with the support of the family. It was installed at the customer on January 8th 1999. The steam generator is still in operation after 20 years and it survived the 2012 Emilia earthquake.

Manara Roberto s.r.l. took part in its first trade fair Cibustec, with enormous and unexpected success.  Since that first time, there have been numerous participations in international trade fairs in Italy and abroad (Expodetergo in Milan, Anuga in Cologne, Gulfood in Dubai, Sweet and Snack Tech in New Delhi, just to name a few).

After e few years on rent, in 2003 the plant of via Praga 10, in Bianconese di Fontevivo (Parma) was built. Today it is the company’s head office and production headquarters. In the same year, the TFI steam generator was born, with the double bottom with cavity moved to the front, compared to the TFB model.

The Colibrì was designed: a new compact, trolley-mounted and portable machine, to meet the different needs of customers.

The steam generator TFRE was born, an energy-saving condensing model to meet the increase in fuel costs.

Manara Roberto s.r.l. celebrated 20 years of business and success.

To cope with the continuous expansion, a second plant was acquired (next to the headquarters), where the welding department was moved to ensure efficient and adequate work spaces for the increase in customer demands.

The company has a total staff of more than thirty people, including workers and employees and it is constantly growing.
